Norman East Library
The Norman Public Library East branch, part of the "Norman Forward" initiative is inspired by Oklahoma’s iron rich topography, dramatic weather, red dust and prairie. Located in an area previously without library service the facility's structural system was comprised of structural steel framing and pier and grade beam foundations. Key project design features include clerestory windows, skylights and full height exterior window systems. The library stands on the rolling hills on the east side of the city, embracing its location between prairie and city.
